Why Get Certified?

Teach inspiring and transformational yoga to your students. Lead with a clear voice and smart cues to help students refine their ideal alignment, so they can move better and feel better. Program uplifting and effective sequences to help participants stretch and strengthen in all the right places.

No Dogma
Students will learn to lead classes in any style of yoga they prefer such as flow, restorative, meditation or pranayama. Training is rooted in functional anatomy and alignment without requirement to follow a specific set of poses. Learn to keep students safe, connected to self, and celebratory in any pose or series.

A Good Living
Self-care includes taking care of yourself financially. Teaching yoga can be a rewarding and sustainable career.

Program Requirements

  • Two years or more of consistent yoga practice
  • Attendance of all 10 weekend training sessions*
  • Completion of required reading list and all homework assignments
  • Passing grade on final exam
  • Completion of final project and presentation (community yoga class or alternative project)

Upon completing all requirements, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. With this you may apply for 200-RYT certification through Yoga Alliance.

*If you wish to receive your 200-hour certification at the end of this program, it is necessary to attend all 10 sessions to accrue the mandatory hours as determined by Yoga Alliance. If you miss a session due to emergency or illness, you may be able to make it up by live stream or recorded sessions and following up with Lisa. Makeup sessions will be discussed on an individual, case-by-case basis and may include additional cost. Because class sizes are small, there may be some wiggle room with dates. Get in touch right away with any conflicts.
